‘No to Knapweed’ Volunteer Day

July 29 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

We need your help to say ‘No thanks!’ to knapweed. This noxious weed threatens and can outcompete native plants. We’ll ‘walk this talk’ as we remove knapweed from key habitat protection sites in a Greenbelt conservation area. Together, we can help protect important plants in rare prairie habitats! This will be a great opportunity to learn more about native plant identification and the clever strategies invasive plants use to outcompete them.

Recommended for ages 12 and up. Minors need to be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. This volunteer opportunity involves hiking on steep slopes with uneven ground and in an environment where poison oak may be present.

To sign-up, fill out the short form below.

If you have any questions, please email rebecca@greenbeltlandtrust.org.
