Run for the Hills

The 11th Annual Run for the Hills will take place on Saturday, June 10th! This event features 30K and 8K trail runs, a 2-mile run/walk, and a 1/4-mile kids fun run. This popular event is great for the whole family! Proceeds benefit Greenbelt Land Trust's Trails Fund to help maintain and enhance our public trail systems. Registration is now open- register HERE! Symphony on the Land

Save the date for Greenbelt's 6th annual Symphony on the Land- this is a not-to-be-missed outdoor concert at Bald Hill Farm! This year features phenomenal singer, Halie Loren, and her band. We are also excited to feature Sound of the Woods, a clarinet quartet with Mike Curtis, as well as the high-energy cello quintet, Cellophoria, with Ann Grabe. Island in the Sky Geology Walk

Join us for a walk with geologist, Robert J. (Bob) Lillie, as we take a journey up Fitton Green and through geological time. We'll learn about the forces, including volcanic eruptions, tectonic plates, and erosion, that formed Oregon's spectacular mountains, valleys, and coastlines. Bob draws on his experience as a geology professor, park ranger, and graphic illustrator to tell the geological story of the Corvallis region and its connections to Oregon's natural and cultural history. ‘No to Knapweed’ Volunteer Day

We need your help to say 'No thanks!' to knapweed. This noxious weed threatens and can outcompete native plants. We'll 'walk this talk' as we remove knapweed from key habitat protection sites in a Greenbelt conservation area. Together, we can help protect important plants in rare prairie habitats! This will be a great opportunity to learn more about native plant identification and the clever strategies invasive plants use to outcompete them. Recommended for ages 12 and up.
