Drop in for a day of nature exploration and fun at our Fall Family Fun Fest on Sunday, October 13th, from 10am – 1 pm.
Activity stations set up from 10am to 1pm:
10:30 – 12:30 Meet a bird of prey from Chintimini Wildlife Center
11:00 – Walk to a beaver dam
Geared towards families with kids up through 6th grade, everyone is welcome to join in the fun at this free event. If you haven’t already, you’ll also be able to sign up youngsters for Greenbelt’s Mighty Acorns Kids Club and they’ll get a welcome packet and a small item to use exploring the outdoors.

FALL FAMILY FUN FEST – HOW TO GET THERE
1. Walk or bike from the Oak Creek Drive parking lot for Bald Hill Natural Area or from the Fairgrounds. Walk/bike map HERE.
2. Driving directions below. Please do NOT search “Bald Hill Farm” for directions, as you will not end up in the right place.
The driveway for Bald Hill Farm is located at 6780 NW Oak Creek Drive. This is a shared driveway, please go slow and respect the neighbors. Follow the directions below.

From town:
1) Go west on NW Harrison to the intersection of NW Harrison and NW Walnut Blvd (53rd St). Continue west or straight through the light. NW Harrison becomes NW Oak Creek Drive.
2) Continue on NW Oak Creek Drive for about ½ mile, you will pass the parking lot for Bald Hill Natural Area on your left, continue past this parking area on Oak Creek Drive for about 1/4 mile.
3) The next left will be a driveway which shares a driveway with Bald Hill Farm. You will see a big green and white sign that says Bald Hill Farm – Greenbelt Land Trust. Turn in there. This is 6780 NW Oak Creek Drive.
4) Continue on this driveway over a bridge and through a green gate and continue on the driveway for about ½ mile (please keep your speed to 10 mph while on the farm road), the road will fork…turn down the left fork (sign posted that says “Not a Trail” will be at entrance to left fork) and after about 500 feet you will see a blue/gray one story farm house to your right.
5) Staff or volunteers will direct you where to park.
