Bald Hill Farm Pavilion

We are building a pavilion at Bald Hill Farm and you can help!

We believe that nature is not just a place to visit – it’s a place to learn, grow and reconnect. We’ve seen how children light up when they plant a seed, how teenagers find calm when they walk through shaded woods, and how adults feel renewed when they gather in a quiet grove and simply breathe.

There’s something powerful about stepping outside and reconnecting—with the earth, with each other, and with ourselves. That’s why we’re building something special.

We are creating a timber frame education building, a handcrafted open-air structure built from local, sustainably harvested wood that will serve as a hub for our nature-based education programs. This space will be used year-round for workshops, classes and community learning— sheltered from the elements, but open to the beauty of the land around us.

We’ve dreamed of a space like this for years. And now, it’s within reach.

To make this dream a reality, we’re turning to the people who believe in our mission and this community – you.

A generous donor is MATCHING every $1 you give (up to $40,000)!

Of all the projects in North America, the Timber Framers Guild chose ours. We will bring in expert timber framers from across the country to lead community volunteers in the building and raising of this inspiring pavilion over the course of 10 days in September. A true barn-raising, right here in Corvallis!

Timber framing is more than just a building method. It reflects the values of stewardship, sustainability, and a deep respect for natural materials. Using age-old joinery techniques and responsibly sourced wood, this building will stand as a teaching tool in itself—showing how traditional methods can meet modern educational needs.

Your tax-deductible donation will help cover the costs of:

  • Sustainably harvested timber and materials

  • Skilled labor and traditional joinery

  • Educational workshops

We believe in building slowly, intentionally, and with care—just like nature does. We also believe in momentum, and we’re ready to embark on this build in September.

That’s why we’re inviting people who share our values to invest in this project. People like you.

Your donation might be one line item in our budget—but it’s a brick in the foundation (or more accurately, a beam in the frame). It says, “Yes, I believe this matters.” It brings us one step closer to creating a space that generations will use and enjoy. Please join us in making this dream coe true!

EVERY $1 YOU GIVE WILL BE MATCHED (UP TO $40,000)!
