Run for the Trails!

On June 7th we had planned to celebrate the 14th year of the Run for the Hills race, which provides critical support to Greenbelt’s Trails Fund. From building the Mulkey Ridge connector trail to Fitton Green, to replacing culverts and planning new trail routes, we utilize the Trails Fund to get you and your family outdoors.

Run for the Hills is canceled this year, but fortunately we have a lot of love for trails in our community. Our friends at Heart of the Valley Runners are launching a virtual Run for the Hills through the month of June, and many of our generous event sponsors are stepping up to match donations* to Greenbelt’s Trails Fund.

Virtual Race Details:
  1. Pick a route
  2. Report your results
  3. Make a donation to Greenbelt’s Trails Fund

Routes begin and end at the Benton County Fairgrounds, 110 SW 53rd St., Corvallis, OR.

This is an informal, virtual race that you may complete any time in June. Runners, walkers, cyclists … all are encouraged to take part! Know that the route is not marked, and there is no drinking water along the route. Please be prepared.

Report your results by filling out this form.

Weekly leaderboards will be posted here.

Be one of the first 100 people to complete the 30k, 8k or 2 mile race routes, report your results, and make a donation of $20 or more to the Trails Fund, and you’ll be guaranteed to get a race shirt from Heart of the Valley Runners!

Please consider giving back to the trails that have given us so much!  *Whether you complete a race route or not, your donation to the Trails Fund during the month of June can be matched, up to $2500.
