Forest Dell

Forest Dell is a 6 acre property that includes a mixed hardwood forest located just north of Corvallis and was permanently protected by GLT in 1997 through a land donation by David and Jean Kliewer. Forest Dell Park is owned and managed by Corvallis Parks and Recreation, and local nature enthusiasts will enjoy a walk on the Park’s short loop trail.

Wildlife & Plants

At Forest Dell you will walk through a nice mix of conifers and broadleaf trees make up the vegetation and an abundance of wildlife. Keep an eye out for a variety of songbirds, deer, or the occasional fox.

Building a Conservation Footprint

Nearby parks and natural areas include Brandis Natural Area and Chip Ross Park.

The protection of Forest Dell and its establishment as a City Park was made possible through a strong partnership with the prior landowners, David and Jean Kliewer, and the City of Corvallis.

Restoration

Forest Dell is managed by the City of Corvallis Parks and Recreation, in partnership with Greenbelt Land Trust.
