Greenbelt is joining forces with over 32 other organizations in the Mid-Willamette Valley to bring Winter Wildlife Field Day Events to a park, refuge or natural area near you. There will be events at over 17 locations including parks in Corvallis, Albany, Dallas, Monmouth, Independence and Salem.
All events are family friendly and free with lots of fun activities offered in English and Spanish. Activities for kids and their parents will include an insect petting zoo, mole and dragonfly crafts, nature scavenger hunts, jumping spider challenge, stream table science and more!
No need to register in advance, just drop in and stay for as long or short as you’d like. Greenbelt will be attending four of the field stations: March 1st from 5 – 7 pm at the Corvallis Community Center, March 8th at Lilly Park in Corvallis from 1:30-4:30 pm, March 12th at Garfield Park in Corvallis from 2:30-5:30 pm, and on March 23rd at Riverview Park in Independence from 10 am – 1 pm.
