Wreaths and Restoration 2026

Join us for a festive day of crafting and volunteerism as we help protect the Oak Savanna habitat at Bald Hill Farm! Oak Savannas are a unique and essential ecosystem, supporting diverse wildlife and plant species. We'll start with some hands-on restoration work, cutting and pulling Douglas fir trees that can shade out and weaken the oaks. Luckily, while fir trees aren't great for our oak savannas, they are perfect for winter crafting. Once you've pulled your fill of fir, join us for hot chocolate and a free wreath making class with Tarweed Folk School Instructor, Margot Schwartz. All are welcome—no experience needed!
