Take a walk at the future Oak Creek Preserve with Hydrologist Gordon Grant and Greenbelt Land Trust staff to learn how the Oak Creek Preserve site reflects and preserves the broader geological history of the Willamette Valley. We will focus on the geology of Oak Creek Preserve and also hear about Greenbelt’s plans to restore the wet prairie and develop trail connections from Bald Hill to McDonald Forest and MLK Park.
We will walk for about 1 mile, including a short, but moderately uphill stretch into the oak forest. Please be prepared for muddy feet and dress for whatever the weather is bringing us that day.
