Just as April showers bring May flowers, spring milkweed planting can attract summer monarchs! These butterflies depend on milkweed for each stage of life, but the loss of habitat and their food supply have led to this species’ decline in the Pacific Northwest. Please help us fill the “need for milkweed” by joining Greenbelt for an afternoon at Bald Hill Farm. We’ll be planting milkweed grown from seeds planted by volunteers at Greenbelt’s native nursery. Meet and mingle with other volunteers, learn about monarchs, and help bring more of these butterflies to the region!
Space is limited to 10 people. For more info or questions, contact rebecca@greenbeltlandtrust.org.
