Join a fun group of GLT volunteers and staff as we continue the quest to remove shiny geranium, a highly invasive plant, from key oak habitat restoration sites at Bald Hill Farm and Mulkey Ridge. We’ll be working with hand tools to prevent this plant from spreading into sensitive habitats. This will be a great opportunity to learn more about plant identification and the clever strategies invasive plants use to outcompete them.
Recommended for ages 12 and up. Minors need to be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. This volunteer opportunity involves walking approximately 2 miles on uneven surfaces, bending, kneeling, and being in areas where poison oak may be present.
