Interested in regular volunteer opportunities? Join Greenbelt Land Trust Staff and Volunteers for weekly trail maintenance projects at Bald Hill Farm! Projects will include everything from invasive species removal, to re-graveling trails, fence removal, and much more. Volunteers will focus on protecting restored habitat while sprucing up the trails at Bald Hill Farm for our community. No prior experience is necessary, tools and gloves will be provided for the project of the week.
Thursday Trail Volunteers will meet weekly from 12pm-3pm at Bald Hill Farm. The first weekly trail event is Thursday, January 5th. To sign up for an upcoming Thursday Trail Volunteer event email jean@greenbeltlandtrust.org.
Wear: Long pants and closed-toe footwear required. Plan to dress for the weather, layers and rain gear are recommended!
Bring: Snacks, a water bottle, and any emergency medications you usually bring on outdoor excursions for personal use (like Epi-Pens).
Accessibility notes: Participants may walk for up to 2 miles, shovel and rake gravel, cut small branches and brush, and perform other tasks with hand tools. Depending on the portion of trail we are working on, restrooms may not be nearby during the work party.
