Woodpecker Walk at Bald Hill Farm
Please join us at Bald Hill Farm for a morning of birding, with a special focus on woodpeckers! Our oak woodlands host multiple Acorn Woodpecker colonies, with granary trees for acorn storage. We will likely see several woodpecker species, and if we are lucky, we might spot one of the overwintering Lewis's Woodpeckers. We'll also enjoy the variety of other woodland and open-country birds that make use of the beautiful habitat at Bald Hill Farm.
We will be walking up to two miles on gravel roads, as well as crossing uneven ground and walking up and down hills. This walk will be led by Lisa Millbank, Naturalist and Wildlife Technician for Greenbelt Land Trust. Advanced registration is required. To sign up click here!
