We have 2 events this year to honor the MLK Day of Service for our volunteers at Bald Hill Farm. Whether you are interested in getting dirty and sweaty doing trail erosion control, or removing invasive species from fenceline – we’ve got a job for you!
Mulkey Ridge Trail, 9am-2pm: Ten strong volunteers are needed to help reinforce the new Mulkey Ridge Trail, starting from Fitton Green! Note that to help with this project, you need to be in physical condition for strenuous labor: volunteers will be hauling wheelbarrows containing gravel up to a mile! For ages 16-adult, minors need to be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. CLICK HERE to sign up.
Bald Hill Farm, 1-4pm: Join us for a stewardship workday removing invasive blackberry and shrubs from fenceline in a seldom-seen off trail location, helping Greenbelt manage and restore habitat.
