Pavilion Build Volunteers – Single Day

Volunteer to help with the Pavilion Build at Bald Hill Farm

We are building a pavilion at Bald Hill Farm and you can help! This beautiful timber framed pavilion will be built as a “Community Build” project with the Timber Framers Guild. In early September, 40+ volunteers from around the country and beyond will come together to teach and learn timber framing techniques during the build. The Guild generously supplies the technical expertise and people power to raise the pavilion, and everything else will be done with the help of our community!

Sign up below to help us with small build tasks around the pavilion. Single Day Volunteers will help stain boards and sand timbers in the midst of the timber framing project. This is a great way to pitch in on the project, and to see all the build action up close!

No experience needed and volunteers of all ages are welcome! Tools and gloves will be provided. If you can only attend part of the time, that’s totally fine—just email jean@greenbeltlandtrust.org to coordinate.

Wear: We’ll be working at a construction site, sturdy closed toed shoes and long pants are required.

Bring: A water bottle and any emergency medications you usually carry (like an Epi-Pen). Some snacks will be provided.

Accessibility notes: Accessible restrooms are available near the work site.

Notes for youth volunteers: Volunteers of all ages are welcome. Youth under 14 must attend with an adult. Youth attending without a parent or guardian should contact Jean in advance to complete a youth waiver.

Location: We’ll meet at Bald Hill Farm in Corvallis. Directions will be emailed to registered volunteers the week before the event.
