Beaver Ponds at Bald Hill Farm

Join Greenbelt Land Trust’s Events and Education Coordinator, Kendra Callahan, at Bald Hill Farm for a leisurely walk out through a restored prairie to the back side of an active beaver pond. We will discuss the many ecosystem benefits that beavers provide and get a “behind the pond” look at an area with an active beaver family. We will also talk about our newly installed notch and exclusion fence. It is a great chance to explore off the beaten path of this well-loved area.

The walk will be less than two miles but we will go off trail and walk across fields and uneven ground. Tall rubber boots are recommended.
