Looking for a hands-on Earth Day activity? Want to help protect rare oak habitat? Join Greenbelt and OSU’s Center for Civic Engagement for a savannah stewardship day at Bald Hill Farm. We’ll be removing conifer seedlings that are encroaching upon oak savannah habitat.
Recommended for ages 10 and up. Minors need to be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. This volunteer opportunity involves hiking 1-2 miles on steep slopes with uneven ground and in an environment where poison oak may be present.
