Join us for a morning of birding and exploring the trails at Luckiamute Meadows in Kings Valley. No prior birding experience is necessary and we will have 12 sets of binoculars to borrow if you need them thanks to a recent grant from the NL Peck & BB Peck Family Foundation! Several walk leaders from Salem Audubon who have conducted bird surveys on this site will be our guides for the day and will help us identify birds we see and hear. We will walk for up to 3 miles on flat mowed grass or dirt trails on this property located adjacent to Maxfield Creek and the Luckiamute River. We should encounter plenty of birds as we explore meadows, oak woodlands, riparian corridors, and acres of planted native trees and shrubs.
