We had some exciting visitors arrive at Bald Hill Farm during the past two weeks! At last count there are 24 Lewis’s Woodpeckers enjoying the acorns in the restored oak woodlands and oak savannahs at Bald Hill Farm. Join Greenbelt Land Trust and Corvallis Audubon Society member and bird walk leader, Joel Geier, to walk out into the fields and observe these beautiful woodpeckers. A rare sight to see in our area! We will be walking in grassy fields and over uneven ground and may walk up slopes in order to best observe the birds. Bring binoculars with you if you have them and we will have a few pairs to loan out as well. Spots are limited so register soon!
