Help Restore a Floodplain Forest Habitat!
Join Greenbelt staff and volunteers for a work party planting native shrubs and trees at Luckiamute Meadows on Saturday, February 8th, from 10 am to 2 pm.

Floodplain forests are an essential yet rare habitat in the Willamette Valley. They support dynamic river flooding processes and provide vital refuge for many wildlife species, including birds, fish, and amphibians. By planting native species, we’re working to restore this critical ecosystem.

Superb Owl Bird Walk

Are you ready for some birding?!

Seahawks, Ravens, Falcons, Eagles - will we find them all - or maybe even a Superb Owl?

Join us for a pre-Superbowl morning bird walk on Sunday, February 9th. We will tour at a leisurely pace, visiting floodplain, wetland and prairie habitats to see and hear the avian residents and visitors. No experience necessary, spotting scopes and binoculars available to borrow.

Per tradition, there will be prizes for the first person to see or hear an NFL mascot and a grand prize for a Superb Owl! Will this be the year we find a Superb Owl?

We will walk for up to 2 miles on mostly flat terrain. Some areas may be wet, so be prepared for whatever the weather brings and for soggy ground.

No bathroom facilities available, just wherever you feel comfortable. Details including directions will be sent the week before the event.

Greenbelt Land Trust 36th Annual Meeting

The Greenbelt Land Trust community will gather for our 36th Annual Meeting on Thursday, February 27th, at 6 pm in the Dennis Hall Community Center at 1st Presbyterian, 114 SW 8th St, Corvallis.

We will enjoy light refreshments and conversation and hear from Greenbelt staff and board about Greenbelt's  eventful year in 2024 and look ahead to 2025.

The Volunteer and Partners of the Year, and Charles Ross Award winners will be celebrated, and we will reflect on everything that this community makes possible. We hope that you will join us!

Masks are not required, but welcome at this event.
