Flood Plain Restoration Tour of Luckiamute Confluence

Wednesday, April 22, 2026 from 10 am – 12 noon

Join Greenbelt Land Trust’s Habitat Biologist, Emily Day, and Event Coordinator, Kendra Callahan, to see first-hand the exciting floodplain restoration work that has been taking place at this newly conserved property. Learn about the techniques used, see what we’ve planted, and enjoy walking in this beautiful spot near the confluence of the Willamette, Luckiamute, and Santiam rivers. We will also venture into the neighboring Luckiamute State Natural Area to tour floodplain forest planted in years past so you can get a feel for what is to come in year’s ahead. Our walk will be on mostly flat (but uneven and sometimes muddy!) trails for up to 3 miles as we learn and explore.
