Wednesday Walk – Woodpeckers at BHF
Woodpeckers at Bald Hill Farm
Wednesday, September 23, 2026
9 am -11 am
Spend the morning scouting for woodpeckers with us at Bald Hill Farm in Corvallis. Mike Unger and Todd McLeish from The Salem Audubon Society will be our leaders as we take a couple of hours to see just how many different species of woodpeckers we can find feasting on the acorns in our conserved oak woodlands! No prior birding experience is necessary and we have binoculars to loan out to those who need them.
This part of the property is accessible only during tours such as these so don’t miss your chance to see this beautiful spot! Our walk will be an easy paced 2 hour ramble over mostly flat ground for up to 2 miles along a gravel road. Pre-registration is required and space is limited so sign up today.

Take a walk into the black with Greenbelt Land Trust staff to tour recently burned restored prairie at Bald Hill Farm.
Drop in for a day of nature exploration and fun at our Fall Family Fun Fest on Saturday, October 3rd, from 10am - 1 pm!
Join Greenbelt staff and fellow volunteers for a work party planting Camas bulbs at Bald Hill Farm on Saturday, October 24th, from 10 am to 2 pm.
Come out to join Greenbelt Land Trust's Events and Education Coordinator, Kendra Callahan, at Owens Farm for a leisurely walk under the oaks and out in the fields of this lovely property. We will move at a slow pace and take time to stop, look, and listen and soak up the beauty of our surroundings. Our focus will be on the many amazing adaptations of the Oregon White Oak, why it is important in our Willamette Valley, and why it is considered a keystone species in this region.
